Underwater Evangelism

Currently, our thematic unit is Under the Sea. The boys are very interested in all the animals and creatures. I love to watch their eyes grow big when they hear something new. Using a few props underneath a table and our imaginations, we went exploring a sea cave and found all sorts of beautiful things. While I was introducing this adventure to the boys, we talked about what things we would need to have with us. They knew they needed a source of oxygen and flippers. They were trying to come up with the word for what goes over their eyes when, one of my students said, with absolute conviction, the "gospel". It brought a huge smile to my face and I hope it does for you as well. Eventually, they did come up with "goggles".
