More End of Trimester Results

Here are a few highlights of progress from my afternoon shift.

Neil
* Increased knowledge of letter sounds from 50% to 85%
* Increased ability to demonstrate letter blends from 44% to 73%

Xavion
* Increased knowledge of letter sounds from 54% to 96%
* Increase ability to read common words from 16% to 79%

Everton
* Increased ability to write letters of alphabet from 13% to 67%
* Increased ability to identify letters from 17% to 88%

Daniel
* Increased ability to read common words from 0% to 42%
* Increased ability to distinguish beginning sounds in words from 22% to 73%


I ran away with Mrs. Bryan for a Mother's Day treat this weekend. We had a great time!

Here are some statistics showing the combined progress of morning and afternoon shifts.

* 38% of students can say the complete alphabet
(December - 25%, September 11%)
* Students are able to say 90% of the alphabet
(December - 77%, September – 59%)
* Students can identify an average of 86% of the letters in the alphabet
(December - 58%, September – 38%)
* Students can demonstrate 59% of letter sounds
(December – 34%, September – 14%)
* combined the morning shift students can read 24 common words
(December – 18, September – 1)
* the afternoon shift combined can read 149 common words,
not including the days of week or colors which adds
another 60 words, for a total of 209 words
