End of Year Student Progress

As a switch from hurricane coverage, I have end of the year progress statistics for students in the Learning Centre.

To start with, here are a few points of combined student progress:
*100% of students can say the complete alphabet
(April – 38%, December - 25%, September - 11%)
*Students are able to say 100% of the alphabet
(April - 90%, December - 77%, September – 59%)
*Students can identify an average of 94% of the letters in the alphabet
(April - 86%, December - 58%, September – 38%)
*Students can demonstrate 70% of letter sounds
(April - 59%, December – 34%, September – 14%)
*Combined, morning shift students can read 38 common/sight words
(April – 24, December – 18, September – 1)
*75% of students in the afternoon shift can complete 100% of 3-minute math problems
(April – 0, December – 0)

Individual progress for students in the morning shift:
Owen
1)Increased ability to write capital and common letter from 0% to 73%
2)Increased accuracy of letter identification from 2% to 81%
3)Increased ability to say months of year from 17% to 100%

Warren
1)Increased accuracy of letter identification from 2% to 100%
2)Increased reading ability of basic and sight words from 0% to 72%
3)Increased ability to blend sounds from 0% to 80%

Richard
1)Increase ability to write letters of alphabet from 19% to 87%
2)Increased letter identification accuracy from 31% to 88%
3)Increase ability to add one digit numbers from 20% to 90%

1)Increased ability to say alphabet from 19% to 100%
