The team from Winona flew out yesterday. There were friends from years ago and new ones made during the week. They were busy trying to fix the mold and peeling paint problems in my classroom. With persistence, they attacked the walls, suffered through the dust, and tried not to smell the sealer. One of the beautiful traits of this team is their desire to connect with the boys. An annual event is the trip to the shoe store for school shoes. The boys love the chance to be out and about... and picking out their own shoes is a special treat.
